Yes, we are open during the holidays. The only exceptions are as follows:
January 1st, the museum opens at 12 p.m.
July 27th, National Kings Day: closed.

The entrance fee is € 9.00 
No, holders of the CJP pass, the museum (annual) card, the culture pass or any other type of discount pass do not receive a discount on admission because the museum is not a member of the provider’s organisation.
No, student discounts are not given.

Tickets

Please try to open your QR code with another web browser. In case this still doesn’t work you can gain access with the received confirmation e-mail.
Sometimes the e-mail is in the spam folder for undesired advertising, etc. Check whether the e-mail has ended up in this folder. If this is not the case, you can gain access with your bank statement showing the payment to the museum.
Your online ticket remains valid for 3 months after purchase. During this period you can visit the museum on the day of your choice. The tickets purchased at the box office are only valid on the day of purchase and can only be used once.

Tickets can only be used to gain access one time. 

No, we do not give refunds.

Unfortunately, we must hold our customers accountable for the number of tickets they buy. In this case, we do not offer refunds.

You can purchase your tickets online or at the museum box office and pay via Ideal, Paypal, and all generally accepted credit cards, etc., but also in cash. It is not possible to sign for a credit card payment. Credit cards with this requirement are therefore not accepted.
Your purchase at the Sexmuseum Amsterdam will be stated on your bank statement under the name BEM International BV.

Facilities & services

Yes, We have gender-neutral toilets on the first floor.

Unfortunately, we do not have a gift shop.

Unfortunately, we do not have a restaurant.

Accessibility

You must be at least 16 years old to visit the museum.
The museum has limited access for the disabled. We are not in possession of a elevator, therefore is the museum largely not wheelchair accessible. Visitors in a wheelchair can 
visit the ground floor and have a free entrance.
Yes, that is allowed provided the dog is on a leash, house-trained and does not show aggressive behaviour towards our visitors and ourselves. You always remain liable for any damage caused by the dog to the life and property of third parties and the museum and its employees.

No, the Sex Museum has an age limit of 16 years, including babies. 
The reason for this is that we do not have space to place your pushchair and we do not have an elevator.

House rules

Yes, photos are allowed. However, long videos are not. Photos and short videos may be posted on social media platforms. Please do not use flash, and selfie sticks are not allowed.

Pictures of the staff may only be taken if they themself give permission for it.

No, food is not allowed inside as we try to keep a clean environment for our visitors. Closed bottles are allowed.

No, Visitors are not allowed to  use these supplements within the museum.
